Our home care staff can call on a morning at a time to suit you to assist you to get out of bed and to get washed and dressed. If you prefer, they can help you to get into the bath or shower, or alternatively, give you an all over body wash. If you need help in choosing a suitable outfit for the day our carers can also help with this.
We can assist you to make a breakfast of your choice and prompt you with your medication if so required and if you require assistance with your dietary needs, we can monitor your food and drink to ensure that you are having a nutritious and healthy diet. We can also call on an evening to help you into your night clothes and assist you into bed if necessary.
We are able to support your continence needs while preserving your dignity at all times. Your carer can help you to get to and from the toilet/commode, and where required, will monitor your personal hygiene in order to ensure your health and comfort. This can include changing your catheter and stoma bag, incontinence pads, sheaths and pad sheets, and help with bathing and changing clothing. The homecare staff can also support you with the reordering of your continence aids and assist with the safe storage of them within your home.
The Support worker will also ensure that any windows are closed and your property is locked up and secure before they leave. Care Matters have a Key/key safe code, holding Policy and procedure in place for added security for any keys, or key safe codes that you entrust us with.
