The Care Quality Commission or CQC as they are commonly known, are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They are responsible for ensuring registered services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.
Regulation is an important part of keeping our service users safe and ensuring that the care staff who support them are the very best. Our good ratings from CQC means that they have evidenced that our services are performing well and meeting their expectations, which in turn means we are delivering high quality service to those we support.
People told us staff arrived on time and they received support from the same good group of staff, which promoted good continuity of care.
People’s needs were assessed prior to the commencement of the service.
The assessment included people’s health, physical, emotional and communication needs.Care provided was personalised and supported people’s preferences and wishes.
People were encouraged to be independent and to carry out tasks without support.

People were protected from known risks from infection. This included those associated with Coronavirus. Routine infection prevention and control practices had been reviewed and updated. Staff clearly understood when and where to wear personal protective equipment.
People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
People and their relatives spoke positively about the personal care they received.
People received their care and support from regular staff who understood their needs.
