We’ve been lucky enough to share several pieces of positive news over the last few months. Both here, at Care Matters Homecare, and across our sister companies, Tribe Recruitment and The Robin Centre, 2020 has been a challenging, but rewarding year.
Across all three businesses, each one part of The Newlands Group Ltd, our focused, strategic recruitment strategy has seen staff numbers grow exponentially throughout the year. So, it’s with great pleasure that we can officially announce:
- The group now employs 320+ staff across all three businesses – and this number continues to grow
- The combined, projected turnover of the group is now close to £9 million overall
From the staff who have recently joined us, and to those who have been on board for many years, we are deeply proud of each and every one of them.
A year to remember at Care Matters
So where exactly do we fit into these fabulous figures? Well, all the way back in March (which really seems like a long time ago now!), our Darlington office outgrew its walls at Lingfield Point – and we soon moved to our modern new offices at Morton Palms.
By the end of summer, we released the fabulous news that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council had confirmed Care Matters as an official, primary care provider for the local authority. Securing a contract for an initial two years, we immediately set about recruiting around 50 new carers into the team – and have continued to welcome more people on board ever since. (And yes, we’re still recruiting right now!).
Over the same period of time, we also became a corporate sponsor of Teesside Hospice, and even managed to launch a brand new website! (Yes, this one!).
Ultimately though, we’re a people-focused business, and it’s our people who have made all of this possible. During one of the most challenging years for people all over the country, they have stepped up, got stuck in, and helped us to move forward.
Naturally then, we look forward to seeing where we all go, together, over the next 12 months.
