We offer specialist nasal and gastric feed care services to people who:
In both circumstances, an individual can be understandably uncomfortable and anxious, so compassion as at the core of everything we do.
This surgical procedure is typically performed to help people who have experienced serious difficulty when swallowing foods and liquids.
It involves a discreet plastic peg tube being inserted directly into the stomach, or fed through the nose into the stomach, to allow food, drinks and medication to directly feed into the stomach.
Care Matters specialist carers can provide important help and support for you or your loved one, to enjoy independent life at home, whilst we help take care of daily food and drink intake through feeding tube management.
Every individual has very different needs. We can help ensure all dietary requirements are taken into account and assist with administering medication if required.

Since my partner came home and needed 24 hour care, how amazing my carers have been with him. Every one of them goes above and beyond their duties. I have never seen him laugh and smile so much since all carers make him feel part of the crew. MS, partner of service user.

As with all our specialist complex care, our services are nursing team led and are regularly reviewed by our Clinical Lead Nurse. We deliver all PEG tube feeding training to our selected carers in-house. Our nurses will ensure a full assessment is carried out during a home visit, and work in full collaboration with you or your loved one, in order to create a completely unique PEG tube care plan.
We understand that PEG feeding has to fit around normal life as far as possible and how important it is to manage this medical need with the minimum level of disruption. This is continually reviewed to ensure we are delivering an excellent level of specialist care for you or your loved one.
