Care Matters provide spinal injury care for people across the North East who have experienced a serious spinal cord injury, and are adapting to life again at home. This can be a challenging time, both for the individual, and wider family, with an often uncertain timeframe for becoming accustomed to the long term impact of the injury.
Thankfully, we have specialist carers who offer experienced, personalised support for a range of injuries including quadriplegia, paraplegia and tetraplegia. Equipped with the experience and knowledge required to provide comfort, support and compassion, we care deeply about the quality of our spinal homecare services.
Our aim is to enable greater independence by providing help according to specific needs and circumstances. Anyone with a spinal injury is assessed first by our Clinical Lead Nurse, in conjunction with other health care professionals, to ensure seamless support.
This is an essential aspect of our Care Management Process, which can be completed upon request, and is used to quickly put in place the ideal level of support you, or your loved one needs.

Since my partner came home and needed 24 hour care, how amazing my carers have been with him. Every one of them goes above and beyond their duties. I have never seen him laugh and smile so much since all carers make him feel part of the crew. MS, partner of service user.
