Our complex care teams are trained specifically to deliver tracheostomy care to support those who have recently been fitted with an airway aid. We can help to ease the stress of managing a tracheostomy at home, including assistance with tracheostomy dressing and tube changes. Plus, if a family member or friend has been helping out, but is unavailable for a short time, we can provide these important duties as part of our respite care service.
The Care Matters specialist care team understand that it can take some time to adapt to a tracheostomy tube. We also appreciate that it can be really daunting to think about airway management and caring for the equipment properly at home, whether on your own or when living with someone.
With the essential support of nursing-led care from our Care Matters specialist team, we can provide the reassurance you need, and boost your confidence to support independent living. We help those in need to live as full a life as possible, while benefitting from our assistance in the comfort of their own home.

Since my partner came home and needed 24 hour care, how amazing my carers have been with him. Every one of them goes above and beyond their duties. I have never seen him laugh and smile so much since all carers make him feel part of the crew. MS, partner of service user.
