Sarah has been a Registered Nurse since 1995, when having completed her training she gained valuable experience in a number of different wards. Progressing to Senior Staff Nurse in critical care she realised that a large part of her role was supporting the patients’ close family and friends, as well as looking after the patients’ needs in a holistic way. Having had this experience, alongside a significant level of training responsibility, the role of Clinical Lead with Care Matters was the ideal next step for Sarah.

She takes responsibility for developing new training resources, providing training in respect of more complex care packages, and completing the necessary care plans and risk assessments; undertaking care worker competency checks and liaising with specialist teams to access any relevant training.
