We believe in the power of community, and we are excited to announce our sponsorship of Thornaby Netball Club, a vibrant hub for women of all ages to come together and enjoy the dynamic sport of netball. Formed in 2012 by the visionary Eyv Hardwick, with the invaluable support of Sport England, the club has grown to become a pivotal force in our local community, promoting not just athleticism but also camaraderie, mental well-being, and a sense of belonging.
Building Stronger Bonds Through Netball: Thornaby Netball Club stands as a testament to the positive impact of sports on community development. With a mission to encourage women of all ages to embrace the numerous benefits of netball, the club serves as a hub for friendship, a remedy against isolation, and a catalyst for both physical and mental health. As a community-focused organisation, we at Care Matters Homecare recognise the profound role that such clubs play in enhancing the overall well-being of individuals.
Supporting the Spirit of Teamwork: Understanding the pivotal role Thornaby Netball Club plays in our local community, we felt compelled to contribute to their journey. In line with our commitment to fostering unity and wellness, we are proud to sponsor the club with new playing kits. We believe that these kits will not only enhance the team’s visual identity but also contribute to building a stronger team spirit—something that goes beyond the boundaries of the court.
Diverse Teams, Shared Passion: Thornaby Netball Club comprises three teams, each making its mark in different local leagues. The A and B teams engage in spirited battles in the Cleveland and Teesside Netball League. Simultaneously, a third team passionately participates in the Back to Netball League. The club is a home to 35 regular members, with others joining in on an ad hoc basis, reinforcing the inclusive and welcoming environment fostered by the club.
Lisa Spark on Community and Grassroots Sport: Lisa Spark, Managing Director for Care Matters Homecare, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We passionately believe in the power of grassroots sport, and Thornaby Netball Club does a magnificent job in inspiring women and girls to stay fit and healthy. It’s a pleasure to be able to support what they do.”
Community-Centric Care: At Care Matters Homecare, care is at the heart of what we do. The sponsorship of Thornaby Netball Club is particularly special to us because the players are an integral part of our community. Supporting initiatives like this allows us to give back and contribute to the well-being of our community members, creating a positive impact that resonates beyond the confines of the playing field.
As we join hands with Thornaby Netball Club, we celebrate the spirit of community, sportsmanship, and the positive influence of grassroots sports. Together, we look forward to a partnership that not only supports the love of netball but also fosters a sense of togetherness and well-being within our community. Care Matters Homecare is proud to stand alongside Thornaby Netball Club, empowering individuals to thrive both on and off the court.
